This is the way

hey thanks for posting this Dan. author of the post here. We do think this trend is going to be a thing - today I saw a senior strategist from Orange, the telco say something like this would be "mandatory".

also - going to do a follow up looking at things like the Huggingface model cards, which are somewhat of a step in the direction of an AI Bill of Materials.

very cool that you found Neon/they found you. this does indeed look like a good post brewing. sounds like potentially low hanging fruit for the postgres community in terms of organisation and processes.

great contribution here from Craig, in terms of the ebbs and flows and useful history. i had no idea about that cluster of folks under 22 with commit bits.

hopefully this will contribute to a tipping point on infrastructure investments around low traffic neighbourhoods.

as author of the original post above, i am gratified by the quality of the commentary. thanks all!

just from my experience of working with their engineering teams. but in my follow up post i note that i mostly work with managers, so it's a skewed sample

i don't know how to get that data, but i'd love to see it

@jasode all excellent examples. i wasn't trying to be comprehensive but rather point to a few recent ones. Cutler is a fantastic example. He got a shout out at Microsoft Build, for "still slinging code" on one of the teams. i don't expect startup/VC culture to change. I just hope more firms value experience a bit more. Also though 61 is a fair bit older than 41.

don't forget Greg Avola, founder of untappd, the beer check in network. and not just speakers from Joyent and PhoneGap - the technical founders.
