Non humanoid robots are already in warehouses in some varying capacity. Humanoid robots aren't really versatile enough to be general purpose but I suppose they're a possibility in the future. All I can imagine is that if they're made safe enough to be around other humans they'll have to be quite dumb in a sense (except for the ones around the war industry)
I have small scale 300sqm warehouse - incoming full pallets, outgoing mixed pallets. It is too small for industrial automation, but humanoid robot could be a good fit - unravel pallets, pick boxes, put boxes onto outgoing pallets and shrink wrap those.
it is very difficult to find good (as in "good condition") battery for a 5+ old gadget. even if you find original one - it could be expired and DoA. but more often you get "compatibles" which die in 3-6 months.
taskbar is very much related, it is an instance of explorer exe with some parameters, that makes it show as taskbar. Try killing explorer.exe in the task manager, when no other explorer windows is running.
Yeah it probably traces back to the time when Microsoft tied internet explorer into every part of the OS just so they wouldn't be forced to remove it.
They're really bad at modernising legacy parts of the OS. Even to this day parts of the old control panel exist and it's been like a decade that they've been working on it.
