Yes, but, in contrast to Threema, you have to provide your phone number in order to use Signal, which results in an immediate loss of anonymity.


This might be a good time to switch to Threema, which generates less metadata than Signal b/c it doesn't use phone numbers as identifiers.


Cursory reading leads me to believe that Threema is a lot more secure than Signal. Can anyone confirm this?
