In the US of A. In continental Europe this is just an office job. Maybe you can consider it an upper-middle class job if you're senior enough.



Exactly, being a developer or in IT in general pays well enough, but it doesn't compare to SV saleries. I've seen people here on HN complain about salaries we would only pay to the CTO or higher.
