I was with you until the 5G one. The only bubble I’m aware of related to 5G is the telecom people who keep hyping it.

I have never ran into anyone anywhere, cyberspace nor meatspace, who has claimed that 5G was actually useful for something.



I don't pay any attention to cellular network stuff. I always assumed it was just faster than the previous one. (4G, right?) How is that not useful?


It’s marginally useful, but it also is extremely slow to roll out given the extremely limited range of the cell towers (at least the ultra high speed ones anyways).

Personally I have it turned off on my device, there’s not enough of a noticeable benefit and a non zero hit to my battery to have that part of the modem turned on.
