Noticed that the updated PayPal TOS includes a prohibition on posting misinformation. PayPal has sole discretion as to what constitutes misinformation (or any other violation). And the fine is $2500 per incident.


Can you point me to the exact line in the TOS that says this?


Item 5(g):

5. involve the sending, posting, or publication of any messages, content, or materials that, in PayPal’s sole discretion, ... (g) are fraudulent, promote misinformation, or are unlawful, ...


There were things thought to be misinformation just as of last year that are now known true. I wonder through what objective lens this is handled, and what happens over time when someone is vindicated by more facts coming to light that had been previously banned for what was considered at the time to be misinformation.
