I ran across the concept of evolutionary traps and couldn't help but draw parallels to many of the issues we're facing today, from climate change to our headlong plunge into the AI unknown.
I thought it was interesting to frame those problems from the perspective of evolutionary traps as a way to disarm some of the polar for/against style arguments about the impacts of various human achievements.
