Xerox PARC Building Info in Pacific Coast Architecture Database (washington.edu)

When I saw the photo of https://info.computerhistory.org/xerox-parc-archive, I thought this building reminded me of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallingwater but I was wrong because they are other architects and the Fallingwater house was built on 1939.


A brief conversation I had with somebody who worked there said it was like Bell labs in the glory days of K&R -you couldn't bottle it: it had a dynamic all of its own.

The no door policy and beanbag discussion spaces worked because people wanted them to work. In other situations it might well not have worked.
