While I can understand using org-mode, why on earth would anyone use Texinfo in 2023? It's so thoroughly obsolete, and completely eclipsed by HTML. The "TeX" part is also thoroughly limited in its capabilities. It's always been a somewhat odd format, being both more structured than troff/nroff, but at the same time being vastly more limited in features, and is something of a subset of both TeX and HTML while excelling at neither. It's table and figure support is not at all great, and its graphics capabilities are very limited. If you absolutely have to live within Emacs, then maybe "because it's there" is sufficient justification, but I doubt this applies to most people.
