Apart from the fact that nuclear is not such a wonderful alternative, it would be nice if they kept LLMs out of constructing reactors. "ChatGPT, design the cheapest possible U235 reactor."
Why?
You wouldn't let it design _and build_ reactor and turn it on immediately. You'd first test that it works. And if it works better than any reactor that humans designed, why would you strip the world of that possibility? It doesn't even have to be a whole reactor. It could be a better design of one part of it.
