I thought it was pretty great, and then I added two Era 300s for rears. My god. I’m sure things can get better, but I’m pretty happy with my setup as-is. I’d probably splurge on an OLED TV first. I have an 85” Sony X91J that I quite like, but I can’t deny the absolute inky blacks of OLED (just couldn’t justify the price at the time at that size).

IMO Sound bar + sub is perfectly enough for 90% of home theaters, with properly placed rears it easily goes up to 98%.

Just a basic sound bar instead of the shitty rear-firing TV speakers is a complete game changer for few hundred monetary units.
