For reference, Brazil have adopted VVC / H.266 + LCEVC as their TV 3.0 codec preference.

AV2 may be out "soon", but if roll-out and adoption of AV1 is any guide, it won't be widely available very soon at all. I applause the promise of AV2 and AV1 is great, but its just not a soon thing IMHO.

Agree. I am hoping they have learned their lesson not only just on roll out but a lot of other things.
