Not implying that you don't have a point; but as a matter of fact, Siemens was a pioneer in usability research of mobile phones. [1]

It's one thing to read a naval map, another thing entirely to captain a ship.

I distinctly recall Siemens phones of the early 2000s having crap UX, especially next to the Nokia 3310.
